There’s power within the hands of a woman.
Women have the capability of bringing life into a male dominated world.
And the collection being featured within the "Las 3 Hermanas" art auction encapsulates the very essence of that notion. Each piece being represented exemplifies beauty, resiliency, and solidarity—paying homage to matriarchy. Throughout this collection, one will witness splashes of the trials, tenacity, and durability interwoven into the makings of being female. Each piece is painted in a range of various hues: from the deepest shades of melancholy to the brightest colors of joy and serenity. Bidders will have their hands busy parading through an assortment of realistic, abstract, simulacrum, and relational art.
Art is community.
It inspires. It gives hope. Speaks truth.
In the curation of the "Las 3 Hermanas" art auction, the vision was to create a public space for exploration and open dialogue. The auction will provide an opportunity for people to meet and be exposed to a variety of pieces that encourage female empowerment. It creates a space for attendees to think about societal change, activism, and the warring of women across many generations. A meeting place for constructive interaction among people with curious minds. As a bonus, attendees are in for a treat as they will get to experience pieces created by local, talented, and well-respected Bay Area female legends.
Legends such as Susan Cervantes and Juana Alicia, that have painted their legacy across our streets, beautifying our city. Legends such as Cece Cepario and Madeleine Tonzi, that have decorated the walls of renowned museums. And up-and-coming legends, such as our youngest artist Kavya Ramamurthy at only sixteen years old.
The art auction is a collaborative artistic process, in which each featured artist produced a piece laced with intentionality and conviction. Each woman showcased their interpretation of female empowerment within the scope of the "Las 3 Hermanas" theme.
Attendees will appreciate the relevant narrative, naturalistic, and representational skill each woman delivers. There is a range of uniqueness, impressive aesthetic value, and essential energy sprinkled amidst the entire collection. Attendees are sure to well pleased with the expansive selection.
Whether you choose to explore the glorious strength of giant sequoias in the Yosemite, march in solidarity amongst indigenous women in diaspora, or get entangled in the strings of nostalgia, there is sure to be a piece that grabs you.
The "Las 3 Hermanas" art auction is more than an event. It’s a movement — inspired by women leadership and social justice activism. It is the continuous rise of cultural democracy. It’s an appreciation documenting community-rooted narratives, women empowerment, and solidarity amongst nations. Each work of art tells a story, has its own wounds, and stitches its own healing. Each piece demands to be seen, to be heard. And rightfully deserves to be purchased. Each piece screams for its legacy to be a stamp on a wall, and a forever reminder of the strength found within a woman’s hands.
